On March 12, 2009 Mariana turned 7 months old. She now has two teeth, is sitting up on her own, rolling all over the place and on the brink of crawling. She loves to say "da da" and has even said "ma ma" on occasion. She has yet to relate those words to our faces, but that will come with time. Overall, she is a VERY happy baby and she brings such joy to our lives!

Jammin' with my Daddy!
6 months old
6 months brought lots of new joy and excitement, as Mari was introduced to a whole range of new solid foods. She had taken quite a liking to that bland, old rice cereal, but was certainly not resistant to the change. She had no idea what she was in for with all the new tastes and textures! Mommy and Daddy love the new expressions that come with each new spoonful that is introduced. And as you can tell by her cute, chubby cheeks, Mari has been thoroughly enjoying her menu of delectable new flavors! Here is a before and after shot...check out the big smile for butternut squash!
My First Snow
On January 12,2009, I was 5 months old. Shortly after that I experienced my first snow fall. I loved watching the white, fluffy flakes from our back window. In a flurry of excitement, I put on my best snowsuit and hopped into the nearest sled. Unfortunately, the snow didn't cooperate so my sleigh ride was very short lived, but it did make for a cute photo-op!

Baptism
On December 27, 2008, Mariana Grace Kennedy was baptized in the First United Methodist Church in Hershey. This is the same church that her Mom was baptized in 35 years ago! It was wonderful to have both of our families present for this celebration. Of note, we also had four generations present from the Sinclair side...pretty amazing and wonderful! Mariana looked adorable in her christening outfit that our friends Lena and Ray Manari gave her as a baby gift. Mari enjoyed the day through and through and especially loved all the attention she got from her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

A Christmas to Remember
With Granny Anna and Uncle Derek in tow we packed up the car and took them on a cross-country tour of the East Coast. We concluded our journey with a visit to "The sweetest place on Earth" (aka. Hershey, PA)! Mari was blessed to celebrate her first Christmas with both of her grandparents and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. Her favorite part of Christmas was the sound the paper made as it was torn from the packages and she provided loads of entertainment for all as she squealed, smiled and cooed with delight!
